When an architect draws up a home, there is a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a bedroom or two, a bathroom or two, a half bath or two, a hallway, some closets, you know, the basics. But the staple room they always seem to miss out on is the library, the book room, with loads of shelves and a ladder or two.  Can someone tell me why exactly is this?

Plants can recognize their siblings →
niki716: accidentallydomesticated: symbiosis: invraisemblable: When siblings are grown next to each other in the soil, they “play nice” and don’t send out more roots to compete with one another. However, the moment one of the plants is thrown in with strangers, it begins competing with them by rapidly growing more roots to take up the water and mineral nutrients in the soil.
